Inorganic Coagulant

Visits: 390

Dew is the leading supplier of inorganic coagulants. Through our extensive R&D resources and logistical excellence, we can supply you with first-class products and solutions wherever you are. When precipitation is needed, our broad range of aluminum- and iron-based coagulants will offer you the results you require to meet your water and waste water treatment quality standards.

Our aluminum-based products are offered in dry or liquid form and are mainly used for municipal drinking water production and industrial process water treatment, but can also be used for wastewater. Main product categories include aluminum sulfate, polyaluminum chloride and polyaluminum sulfate.

The iron-based products are also produced in dry or liquid form and are mainly used for wastewater treatment. To some extent they are also used for municipal drinking water production and for industrial process water treatment. Main product categories include e.g. ferric chloride, ferric sulfate and ferric chloride sulfate.

All our inorganic coagulants have different benefits depending on what type of water is to be treated and what impurities need to be removed.

Aluminum Based

Aluminum sulfate has been used for different water treatment purposes throughout the 20th century. It still can meet the more stringent requirements on production and distribution of drinking water as well as treatment of waste water.

Dew is the world's biggest producer of aluminum sulfate and can provide many different qualities for various applications.

  • Aluminum Sulfate
  • Polyaluminum Sulfate
  • Polyaluminum Chloride
  • Solid Polyaluminum Sulfate
  • Sodium Aluminate

Polyaluminum Chloride

PAC represents a series of products ranging in the degree of acid neutralization, polymerization and Al2O3 concentration. As the acid is neutralized in the manufacturing process, the aluminum portion of the product becomes more polymerized, resulting in higher cationic charge and increased performance capabilities. The degree of acid neutralization is measured by basicity. Basicity can range from 0% (aluminum chloride solution) to 83% (aluminum chlorohydrate solution). Typically available Polyaluminum Chloride solution products have basicities ranging from 10-70%.

Iron-Based

Iron-based coagulants are effective in reducing biological decomposition products at low pH. Iron products are also excellent at inhibiting odor and corrosion by eliminating hydrogen sulfide. The products used for drinking water treatment comply with international standards.

Dew produces different types of ferric coagulants for water treatment. Dew Ferric Chlorides and Dew Ferric Sulfates are a group of effective primary coagulants in liquid form, based on trivalent iron (Fe3+). These products are excellent for drinking water production, sewage, and wastewater treatment as well as sludge conditioning. The products prevent odor by eliminating hydrogen sulfide.

Dew Ferric Sulphates granular, stands for high purity solid ferric sulfate products. The iron content is 19-21% as ferric iron. The products are soluble in water to a concentration of approx. 10% Fe-solution (approx. 36% Fe2(SO4)3. They are effective primary coagulants, excellent for both drinking water and wastewater treatment in a wide pH-range.

Since Dew Ferrous Sulfates are able to form complex compounds with phosphorus, these products show excellent performance in simultaneous wastewater treatment processes.
